For our Christian readers, we wish you a peaceful Good Friday!
However, we start with some bad news. Unfortunately, the conflict in the Israel-Palestine-Lebanon area is heating up, with multiple attacks taking place in the past few days. Just a little while ago, Israeli soldiers stormed the al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem, interrupting the holy celebrations of Ramadan for Muslims and Passover for Jews. The soldiers brutally beat and injured many people, and then retreated from the area. Then, dozens of rockets from Lebanon that were reportedly fired by Palestinian militants were launched into Israel, sparking more anger. In retaliation, Israel sent soldiers into Gaza and southern Lebanon, striking targets of the well-known Palestinian militant group of Hamas. And just now, a terrorist attack took place in Tel Aviv, Israel, where an Arab-Israeli man drove his car onto the sidewalk, killing one Italian tourist and injuring over seven others. Another attack also took place on the West Bank, killing three and injuring dozens more.
On another note, over 100,000 people are out of power in Canada as a massive ice storm moves through the region. Dozens of deaths have been reported, but the death toll is sure to rise as many areas have no hope of thawing as of right now.
