The coveted PGA Tour has finally come to an end, with Norway's Victor Hovland taking the title- and the $18 million prize. The final took place at the East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia, with Hovland fending off the US's Xander Schaufelle (22 under par) to finish 27 under par to become the third-youngest person to ever win the FedEx cup.
On another note, watches and warnings are now being dished out for the west coast of Florida as Tropical Storm Idalia approaches the US state, expected to strengthen into a hurricane soon. It is expected to amke landfall somewhere between Tampa and Apalachicola as a Category 2 hurricane on Wednesday, with strong winds and intense storm surge. Storm surge warnings are now in place for all of the west coast of Florida, and hurricane watches are in place farther out in the sea. Tropical weather statements are also in place for inland Florida and some of southern Georgia, who are all preparing for the storm.
