Sadly, at least 55 people were killed and over 135 others were injured on Sunday after a reported suicide bombing at a rally in northwestern Pakistan. Supporters of a political leader had gathered in the town of Khar in the Bajaur district when a "suicide attack" ripped through the rally and caused massive damage to the area while killing 55 people and wounding numerous others. Many of the people who are injured are in critical condition, and some officials expect the death toll to rise as nearby hospitals are swarmed with patients and victims of the blast. No one has stepped forth to take responsibility for the bombing, and an investigation is now taking place.
