As the citizens of Israel and Palestine enjoy a much-needed ceasefire to help them recover from the deadly war, tensions in the Red Sea have been escalating. Yemen, who has sided with Hamas, has been attacking Israeli ships in the Red Sea, and the third one was just let go. Yemen's official government blamed the Houthi rebels, an Iranian-backed group that has been trying to take control of the Middle Eastern country for a long time. The crew members onboard the Israeli tanker sent out a distress signal as soon as they were attacked by the Houthi rebels, and the US Navy responded quickly with one of their nearby ships. The rebels then released the tanker when the American ship arrived, but future Israeli tankers still face a growing threat from the Houthi group when passing through the Red Sea.
