Today is the grim anniversary of the Israel-Hamas War, which began exactly one year ago on October 7, 2023 when Hamas militants invaded southern Israel, killing almost 1,200 people and kidnapping 251 others. Since then, over 42,000 Palestinians and 2,000 Lebanese citizens have been killed in Israeli attacks on Hamas and Hezbollah. Over 1.9 million others have been displaced in Gaza, and another 1.2 million have been forced from their homes in Lebanon.
