American Football season has ended, with many teams making a strong end to the NFL season. Let's take a look at the standings.
In the American Football Conference, the Buffalo Bills (13-3), Kansas City Chiefs (14-3), Cincinnati Bengals (12-4), and Jacksonville Jaguars (9-8) have all clinched their respective divisions, with the Miami Dolphins (9-8), LA Chargers (10-7), and Baltimore Ravens (10-7) clinching the Wild Cards.
In the National Football Conference, the San Francisco 49ers (13-4), Minnesota Vikings (13-4), and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-9) have clinched their respective divisions, and the Dallas Cowboys (12-5), New York Giants (9-7), and Seattle Seahawks (9-8) have clinched the Wild Cards. The Philadelphia Eagles, however, have already clinched the conference.
After the Wild Card Round, they moved onto the Divisional Round, with the Cincinnati Bengals beating the Buffalo Bills 27-10, the San Francisco 49ers beating the Dallas Cowboys 19-12, the Philadelphia Eagles beating the New York Giants 38-7, and the Kansas City Chiefs beating the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-20.
Then, at the Conference Championships, the Eagles crushed the 49ers, 31-7, and the Chiefs beat the Bengals in a close game, 23-20. They face off at the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at 6:30 PM EST at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
Here are some fun facts about the Super Bowl that just happened:
1. This Super Bowl, the first set of brothers played each other in the championship. Jason Kelce, for the Eagles, played as their starting center, and Travis Kelce played the starting tight end for the Chiefs. Both of them are playing in the 2023 Pro Bowl as well. Also, was a big petition recently for Donna Kelce, the mother of the two, to flip the coin at the Super Bowl. Over 60,000 people have voted for it, but it did not happen.
2. Meanwhile, Heinz, the ketchup brand, has been trying to talk to the NFL to change the Super Bowl number from being LVII (57 in Roman numerals) to 57 in regular numbers, since that is Heinz’s lucky number that goes on all of their bottles. Of course, that didn't work.
Now, let's get to the Super Bowl: The Kansas City Chiefs ended up beating the Philadelphia Eagles, 38-35! It was a tense game, but the Chiefs ended up winning by a field goal margin. Just imagine Donna Kelce: Cheering for Travis and comforting Jason.
