Russia Declares No Oil To Europe

Here’s the last of our articles for today. You can read it below or on the website here: theweeklynews0.wixsite.com/yourweeklynews/russia-declares-no-oil-to-europe

Russia has said on July 18 that there will be no more natural gas exported to Europe. This is a huge problem because Russia supplies 40% of Europe’s gas. Europe is trying to save gas, but economists think that the continent might run out of supply by this winter. The cause of this is because of a big chain. Let’s dive in.

On February 24, 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine under United Nations-defined incorrect pretenses. This caused the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) to send weapons to Ukraine to defend themselves against Russia. Now Russia is preventing gas from reaching Europe, which is backlash, or payback for arming Ukraine.

You might be thinking, why can’t NATO just send their armies to help Ukraine and end the war? One reason why is because that would be two major powers sending their armies to fight against each other, which is basically NATO declaring war on Russia, sparking a World War III.

Another big reason why NATO wouldn’t do that is that China has recently announced that they are supporting Vladimir Putin’s intentions, which is a big worry for all of NATO. The organization is barely strong enough to take on Russia alone, so a Russia-China alliance could be a huge problem for not just NATO, but all of Europe and Asia. This would result in not even a World War III, but a catastrophic event that could wipe out a large chunk of the world’s population (because of nuclear weapons).
