After 18 murders in Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, just this year, the US increased their advisory level to Level 2. Level 2 means 'increased caution,' as violent gangs could be roaming the streets. They recommend keeping a low profile and not resisting any robbers or gangs you run into. Nassau is attempting to curb the gang violence, but tourists are still being urged to use caution if traveling there.
