OpenAI, the company that created ChatGPT, has been going through some turmoil lately, but it has finally ended. A few days ago, CEO Sam Altman was ousted from the company by the board of directors, due to what they called not consistently communicating with the board. However, most of the employees of OpenAI soon revolted and threatened to leave the company and go to Microsoft if Sam Altman was not reinstated to CEO, and so the board of directors had to oblige. This just proves even further that employees are gaining more and more power over the heads of the company, as previously shown by the SAG-AFTRA and UPS strikes. OpenAI is now trying to find out how to move ahead with their AI technology and what will be the next step in growing the company, and that can now be done in a less chaotic environment now that Sam Altman is back.
