The number of wildfires has escalated to over 160 across the region, which have been burning homes, cars, trees, and everything in their path. 102 have been contained, but another 40 are still out of control. This comes amid a severe drought and the weather pattern of El Niño raising temperatures and causing arid, fire-prone conditions.
