Today's only news is that Amazon's famed Prime Day is officially over, lasting from July 11-12. The two days feature exclusive deals for Amazon Prime members only, with huge discounts on top brands. Amazon holds this event once a year and is a big boost for sales, with 68% of consumers buying items on Prime Day each year. In 2022, Prime members in the US bought over 60,000 items per minute, and over 300 million products were purchased worldwide. They also saved over $1.7 billion, which was more than any other Prime Day in history. Prime Day 2024 does not have an exact date yet, but it is expected to take place in mid-July and last for the regular 48 hours.
