The Disappearance of the Roanoke Colony

The disappearance of the Roanoke Colony is one of history's greatest mysteries. Over 112 colonists just vanished from eastern North Carolina in the 1580s, only leaving behind one word, carved into a tree: Croatoan. To this day, the fate of the Roanoke colonists remains a mystery.

The Mystery of D.B. Cooper

D.B. Cooper remains the only unsolved hijacking of all time: on November 24, 1971, he hijacked Northwest Orient Airlines Flight 305, flying from Portland, Oregon, to Seattle, Washington, and managed to escape with $200,000 in cash ($1.5 million in 2024). After his crime, he was never seen again.

The Disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370

Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 (also known as MH370) was an international flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Beijing, China that went missing on March 8, 2014, and the plane has never been found. It remains the biggest aviation mystery of all time.
