The Democratic Party is a major party in the USA. Their headquarters are in Washington, D.C., and they are generally seen as left-wing (which focuses on society as a whole). The Democratic National Convention was from August 19 to 22.

Kamala Harris won way more than the required 1,968 delegates, so she became the Democratic presidential nominee. She chose Governor Tim Walz as her running mate.
