Libertarian Party Primary Elections
The Libertarian Party is a third party in the USA. They share major policies with the Republican Party. Their headquarters are in Alexandria, Virginia, and they are generally seen as right-wing (which focuses on businesses and a small government).
The way the Libertarian Party conducts the primaries is much different from the other parties. Instead of winning delegates, the nominee is chosen based on the number of states won.
The candidates for the Libertarian Party nomination were:
Chase Oliver (6 states)
Lars Mapstead (2 states)
Michael Rectenwald (2 states)
Charles Ballay (1 state)
Joshua Smith (1 state)
Mike ter Maat (1 state)
2 more...
Joe Exotic (withdrawn)
Chase Oliver won in 6 states, so he became the Libertarian presidential nominee. He chose Mike ter Maat as his running mate.
